1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading or using the app Bio, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app.

2. End User License Agreement (EULA)

These Terms of Use are governed by the standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). By using this app, you agree to be bound by the terms of the standard Apple EULA, which can be found at:

Any conflict between these Terms and the EULA shall be resolved in favor of these Terms for issues related to specific App features (like AI and Subscriptions).

3. Service Description

Bio is a journaling and life-tracking application that allows users to record voice notes, write text entries, and organize them into a timeline. The app utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide transcription, rewriting, and feedback services.

4. User Accounts & Data

  • Ownership: You retain ownership of all text, images, and audio you create or import into Bio ("User Content").
  • Privacy: Your data is stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud container. We do not have direct access to your User Content.
  • Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you create and back up. We are not liable for any loss of data caused by device failure, software errors, or user action.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Bio offers a "Pro" subscription that unlocks additional features (e.g., iCloud Sync, AI Narrator).

  • Billing: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You can manage or turn off auto-renew in your Apple ID Account Settings at any time after purchase.

6. AI Features & Disclaimers

Bio integrates with third-party Artificial Intelligence providers (such as OpenAI or Google Gemini) to assist with writing and transcription.

  • Accuracy: AI is an evolving technology and may produce inaccurate, offensive, or nonsensical outputs ("Hallucinations"). You should verify any AI-generated text before relying on it.
  • No Warranty: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any AI-generated content.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use Bio to:

  • Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or defamatory.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the reliability or availability of the app.
